On this page I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Sascha Simon and I am a full-time software Development Engineer from Germany. All of the applications that you will on this homepage are created in my free time.

I started developing apps for macOS and iOS, because in my job I only work with C# and C++ on Windows platforms and I wanted to learn something different. So I thought that learning Swift (which had just been announced back then) would be a great idea to learn a little bit more about Apple based platforms and how their tooling a workflow is.

I bought a MacBook Pro and just started to code. Almost eight years later I have developed almost thirty apps that all are or were available on the Mac App Store.

Philosophy

Ease of Use

When designing and implementing my apps, the primary focus is ease of use. I want the apps to be self explanatory.

Affordable Prices

All of my apps are developed in my free time. Thankfully I do not rely on any proceeds of the apps because I work full time. Some of my apps cost a little bit of money to develop. This cost ranges from developer hardware to software being used to develop the app.

All of the money that is earned with my apps will be reinvested to further develop my existing apps or to develop new ones.

Privacy

None of my macOS apps gathers or transmits any data. Period.

Support

No matter how long I test my apps, from time to time a bug will slip through. That is frustrating but kind of inevitable.
